Awards Program Details

babyMaternity Magazine's Awards Program is unique in that all products submitted are reviewed by expectant mothers, new moms and baby caregivers. Products are not reviewed by any one person. They are reviewed by many people - the very people who would purchase them.

Each year, a two day event is held in Henderson, NV where over a 50 guest reviewers are invited to a local convention center to attend our product review. All products are divided into categories and displayed at various stations. Guest reviewers are asked to sit and review each product at every station. This allows for each product to receive multiple reviews.

An online review form is provided to each guest reviewer, to aid them in evaluating each product. The review forms are to include written comments and a score value based on criteria that corresponds to the product's category. Upon completion of the event, all scores are tabulated and comments are reviewed.

Based on the scores and comments products are then determined to be a finalist for the Top Choice of the Year award. Only one product per category can win a Top Choice of the Year, Product of the Year, or Top Travel Product of the Year. The remaining finalists may receive a prestigious Preferred Choice award or the Seal of Excellence based on their ability to exceed expectations for nurturing pregnant women, moms and educators evaluating the products.

All products submitted, including award winners, are officially announced on our website, www.babymaternity.com. The Baby Maternity Awards seals are a distinguishing mark of achievement and desirability.

Note - babyMaternity Magazine's Awards Program is not a testing program that examines each product on how it adheres to safety for expecting mothers and babies. All reviews are strictly based on the opinions of parents, not safety professionals. We recommend that if you have a concern regarding any of the products featured on our website or published in babyMaternity Magazine please contact the Consumer Products Safety Commission.

How to Get Started:

  1. Fill out the official entry form. The cost to enter each product is $75, (was $150). You may enter multiple products.
  2. Once the entry has been approved, you will be directed to a page that will serve as your official receipt.

    • Name and contact information
    • 300 dpi image, 900px (3 in.) by 900px (3 in.)
    • 100-225-character product description
    • 2 samples
